Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket
2014-15 Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket

Locate the Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket (just under the steering wheel) and make sure it looks like the style in the picture above.
If yes, proceed to the next step in these instructions. If not, check the instructions for Polaris Ranger 2016-17 (next section down).

  • Mount one of the Turn Signal Switch (TSS) brackets to the lower portion of the TSS using one of the #8-32 x 1 machine screws and tighten until snug. Mount the other Turn Signal Switch (TSS) bracket to the upper portion of the TSS using one of the #8-32 x 1 machine screws and leave it slightly loose, so you can move it apart (picture 1).

  • With the TSS pointing up, carefully place the TSS brackets around the steering column and place the curved part just below the steering wheel, which is between the tilt bracket and the steering wheel (picture 2).

  • Use a #8-32 x 1 machine screw with lock nut to secure the end (bottom) of the brackets. Do not tighten, just keep the bracket slightly loose for now (picture 3).

  • Use a #8-32 x 1 machine screw with lock nut to secure the middle of the brackets. Do not tighten, just keep the bracket slightly loose for now (picture 4).

  • Rotate the TSS to the left, to your desired position and then tighten all the screws for a snug fit (picture 5 & 6).

  • You can route the TSS wires along the steering column and through the dash. Be careful not to pinch the wires in the tilt mechanism, move the tilt wheel up and down to make sure you have clearance for the wires.

Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket
2016-17 Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket

Locate the Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket (just under the steering wheel) and make sure it looks like the style in the picture above.
If yes, proceed to the next step in these instructions. If not, check the instructions for Polaris Ranger 2014-16 (the section above).

  • Insert the rubber ( x x 1) spacer in the gap of the Tilt Wheel Steering Column Bracket (picture 1).

  • Press the rubber spacer up against the steering column and up to the bottom of the steering wheel (picture 2).

  • Mount one of the (TSS) D-Brackets to the lower portion of the TSS using one of the #8-32 x 1 machine screws and leave it slightly loose. Mount the other (TSS) D-Bracket to the upper portion of the TSS using one of the #8-32 x 1 machine screws and leave it slightly loose. Now you can move the D-Brackets apart and place them around the steering column and rubber spacer, just under the steering wheel (picture 3).

  • While holding the bracket in place install one of the #8-32 x 1.5 machine screws with lock nut to secure the end of the brackets, just snug for now (picture 4).

  • Then check to make sure you have the bracket positioned where you want and install the other #8-32 x 1.5 machine screw with lock nut and tighten both screws for a snug fit (picture 5 & 6).

  • Remember to tighten (snug fit) the #8-32 x 1 machine screws into the Turn Signal Switch (TSS).

  • You can route the TSS wires along the steering column and through the dash. Be careful not to pinch the wires in the tilt mechanism, move the tilt wheel up and down to make sure you have clearance for the wires.
